The mountains that frame the Winelands are folded sandstone, lifted from the seabed before there were continents to speak of. Time, here, is a physical fact. You can read it in the rock.
On these slopes, three centuries of estates have practised a single discipline: choose well, then wait. The land does not reward haste. Neither do we.
Our diamonds are grown — carbon arranged under heat and pressure two hours from the coast — and chosen with the same patience the land taught us. Geology, continued by other means.
